The opening of Hawaiian Falls, Mansfield Memorial Day 5K, and the Rockin' 4th of July are only major highlights of what Mansfield's got going on this summer.

Hawaiian Falls Opening
To accompany the summer heat, Hawaiian Falls will open for the 2012 season Memorial Day weekend. The park offers something for everyone, with the large Waikiki Beach wave pool, Kona Kooler river, and water features/small pools for young children.
- The Boomerango, the Cliffhanger, and Splash Water Harbor have joined the line-up of park attractions and open for the first time this Memorial Day weekend.
- Lockers are available for your belongings ($8.00, including a $2.00 deposit that will be refunded with your key's return) as well as a Cooler Pass for your personal drinks and snacks ($10.00).

Mansfield Memorial Day 5K
Get your run on Memorial Day Weekend! The Mansfield Memorial Day 5K Run/Walk will be held Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Katherine Rose Park. Race day registration starts at 6:30 a.m. followed by the race at 8:00 a.m.
- Early registration (through May 16) costs $15. Late registration (after May 16) costs $25. Registration on race day will cost $30.
- You have the option to register online or you can register in person at the Mansfield Chamber of Commerce.
- Packet pick up will be held at The Runner Shop, located at 3535 W. Pioneer Parkway in Arlington, Texas.
Night at the Movies
Night at the Movies will take place Saturday, May 19th at Town Park featuring races, penguins, and a great movie at the end of the night. Admission is free and concessions will be available. You can learn more about Night at the Movies with our handy PDF flyer.
- Night at the Movies starts at 7:00 p.m. and the penguins from the Dallas Zoo will be here to entertain visitors.
- The second Dragon Fun Run will start at 7:30 p.m. with free shirts to the first 50 to sign up at the event.
- At the end of the day, everyone is invited to watch Happy Feet Two on the big screen. The movie starts at 8:15 p.m.
Rockin' 4th of July
Join the festivities as Mansfield celebrates Independence Day with rock n' roll, recreation and fireworks! Rockin' 4th of July has quickly become a favorite of residents and visitors who gather at Big League Dreams sports park on Independence Day. There's food, family entertainment, and a spectacular fireworks display.
- Make sure to bring lawn chairs, blankets, sunscreen, and other outdoor necessities. Please don't bring your pets, coolers, and fireworks (leave the last one to us).
- As in past years, there will be no parking at Big League Dreams for Rockin' 4th of July. Parking will be available at Newsom Stadium with shuttles to Big League Dreams.
